CHOOOO CHOOOO…... ALL ABOARD BITCHES!!!

After checking out from our Guesthouse we had a few hours to burn before leaving for the train station so we walked the local thai market.

not sure why so many looks and giggles?

Here I am smashing some pork on a stick (delicious actually)

We had a quick lunch at a local coffee shop where Nicole had a Curry meal only found in the north of Thailand which according to her sharing tendencies was very delicious (I barely had a bite)

Koah Soi

Leaving Chiang Mai for Bangkok via train is a 13ish hour journey.  Food was good, seats/beds were comfy.  @ $25.00 for a 12 hour ride it is pretty affordable and a good way to travel in Thailand….. We departed at 5pm and arrived in Bangkok around 7am.  Dinner was served around 7pm, some opted for the sweet and sour chicken while others chose the chicken with cashew nuts.  The ride was somewhat smooth and we stopped occasionally to pick up/drop off passengers.   The views were ok leaving Chiang Mai but it got dark pretty quick.  Some had a very good sleep while others slept on and off.

Nighty night time! - See Marc below Doms?

Rise & Shine..at 530am, a guy was walking around trying to wake people up offering beverages (woke me up but not the sleeping beauty). Soon after the employees where ready to make the beds back into seats.  The one cheater who had popped 3 ativan pills was unwakeable.I tried 2 or 3 times as she was out cold.  Ohh my lovely Sleeping Beauty Nikki……..Breakfast was served.  Only Ms. Rosalie and I ate while the other 2 tried to catch up on their zzzz's….Shortly after we arrived at the train station where we grabbed a taxi and attended Wendy's Guesthouse.

They were kind enough to let us have our rooms early so we could clean up and have a quick nap except for sleeping beauty as she got a good night's rest on the train!!!

  2. Dom, Marc and Rosalie all have the same size 'carry-on'…aka their main luggage! When they made the beds the suitcases went in the isle. Baby elephant dom is riding the big elephant marc! All the locals were staring, giggling and pointing at them.
