Arrived in Chiang Mai

We have arrived in Chiang Mai safe and sound……and the locals are right….it's friggin cold up here!  Staying at Rustic Guesthouse (an old warehouse).  The name suits the place!  Love the location, no tourists in sight!

5 minutes until arrival in Chiang Mai!

30$ a night

 So we kinda got lost after a tuk tuk dropped us off in the vicinity of our guesthouse.  All the streets looked the same, with the same looking people and the same thai letters on the street signs.  When in doubt….stop at the local barber shop….but don't just ask for directions, get a haircut first.  The haircut only lasted about 75 minutes (no big deal) and the barber was about 75 years old.  He clipped at a snail's pace, he cut at a snail's pace, he shaved at a snail's pace and walked at a snail's pace….but have no fear, he got the job done!  The best part of this all was 2 barbers and 1 customer (who didn't speak english) figured out where we should be going and pointed us in the right direction! Yay for the index finger!

Now off to the Night Bizarre! Tuk Tuk all the way! 2$
